MFA: hippie chic

Kitty and I decided to head to the Museum of Fine Arts yesterday! We were able to hang out, while talking in whispers and enjoying the beauty that fills these very tall walls.

In addition to the priceless works of art that are housed in the aforementioned walls, the MFA has recently started showcasing the fashion of the Woodstock generation. The 1960s and 1970s come alive in the colors, clothing, and music of the hippie movement in an exhibit entitled "Hippie Chic."

It's a great way to immerse yourself in the style of times past. Kitty and I both enjoyed browsing and reading about the selected outfits!

Music was played by a juke box packed to the brim with the Beatles, Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix, and Cher (among others) to set the mood for your groove!

The exhibit was smaller than I expected, located in a single room of the Lois B. and Michael K. Torf Gallery. I took a whole bunch of snaps, so hopefully you can get a feel for it if you're unable to go yourself! If you are in the Boston area, Hippie Chic is going to be at the MFA until November 11th. The exhibit and the museum as a whole are beyond worth a visit!

I have even more pictures of the rest of the museum, along with some outfit shots for both Kitty and myself! Keep an eye out and peace, my groovy readers!
